Trawl Nets
Thorough support for all the varieties of trawl fishing around the world
Trawl fishing is one of the most widespread and widely conducted ship-based fishing methods in the world. There are three types of offshore trawl fishing methods: The Danish seine, the otter trawl, and the pair trawl. Nitto Seimo can supply all of the gear needed for each of these methods.
Nitto Seimo is also capable of providing you with powerful technical support.
In the past, we built small model nets to determine how they would operate in the water, but today we are able to use computer simulations to visualize your gear in 360 degrees. This enables us to help you revaluate how you catch fish by reproducing the movement of your fishing gear in different conditions, such as with different ship sizes or even with a different fishing master in charge.
What Nitto Seimo
Can Do for You
Optimal gear design to help you increase productivity
Insight rooted in years of expertise
Different gear is required for each of the three trawling methods of Danish seine, otter trawl, and pair trawl, and what’s appropriate also depends on the target fish species and the size of the vessel. Leveraging years of expertise, Nitto Seimo is able to identify and supply the optimal fishing gear suited to your individual fishing situation. We are also able to provide you with technical advice.
Net shape simulation
Using the NaLA simulation software system, we are able to help you evaluate how a net design will actually behave in the water, including sinking and shape characteristics. This software makes it possible to evaluate net shape, not only for new net designs but for your existing ones as well. NaLA thus enables Nitto Seimo to make suggestions on how designs can be modified to improve efficiency.
