It is Nitto Seimo’s firmly held belief that the social mission of a manufacturer is to develop products that benefit society. We are also of the opinion that simply imitating one’s competitors is the most shameful thing a company can do.
That’s why we have poured our efforts into researching and developing creative, innovative products since our establishment in 1910. It was through this approach that we developed the knotless net in 1925, a highly acclaimed product that overturned conventional wisdom about fishing nets and which was awarded 57 patents in 16 countries around the world.
It made the name “Nitto Seimo” synonymous with high-quality, high-strength nets. Thereafter, as synthetic fibers became more and more common, the superiority of knotless nets also gained wide recognition both in Japan and abroad. Today, knotless nets are used extensively not only for fishing but also sports, industrial materials, and agriculture.
We are not satisfied with just being the leading manufacturer of knotless nets and are still working to develop new products that are beneficial to society. Further, in recent years, we have expanded beyond the limits of a mere manufacturer and are actively providing a variety of services as well as total support to businesses in order to solve the increasingly serious problems of the fishing industry.
